The argument against AI.

OF COURSE.

AI helps with the seemingly mundane aspects of repeated tasks or research, and arrive at a viewpoint that's 'acceptable to the masses'.

It sure helps bring a certain degree of productivity improvement - it could be sailing through a writer's block, or to better word a written piece, or improve designs and images, among a host of other things.

BUT.

For writing posts such as this, using AI would be the last resort.

Let me clarify this further.

If I were to use my LinkedIn profile as a business development engine, then sure I'll need a lot more posts to go out to keep up with the algorithmic requirements of reach and engagement.

However, the primary purpose of writing for me is NOT to show my "expertise".

Rather it's for me to become more articulate.

That's the goal.

And it requires that I read widely on various topics and read deeply into certain specific topics, and then THINK.

Once I've thought it through sufficiently, it then comes to articulating those thoughts into words.

That's where I learn and grow.

To use AI for this would be crippling my learning, and getting used to a very comfortable crutch.

And that's the case against using AI for writing. For me atleast.
