Constant maintenance - a reality to accept.

Everything around us needs maintenance.


Everything we create has its evolution. It improves to a great extent, reaches a peak, and then, a decline begins.


UNLESS there's regular up keeping.


The same applies to personal and professional life too.


What processes are you working with, which in the past served its purpose, but now is showing signs of decline? 


A particular way of team management.


A particular software at work perhaps? Or maybe it has been manual all this while. 


Or a particular way of resolving issues with your spouse, kids, siblings or parents.


It worked in the past. Doesn't mean it will always.


Nothing lasts forever. At least not in the physical world. 


Which is why we need regular upkeep and timely changes.


Be it habits at the personal level, or processes at the professional level.


I'll leave you with one question. 


What is that one thing in your morning routine that worked well in the past but now doesn't serve its purpose?
